      Briefly explain the importance of the theme(s) in Surah Al-Baqarah (2:30-37)

 in Muslims lives today.   

 The passage teaches us that Hazrat Adam (A.S) was a true and an obedient servant of Allah(swt) while Iblis (satan) disobeyed and argued with God so he was cursed. Muslims learn to resist Iblis (satan) in their daily lives as he has been trying to trap mankind since the creation of Hazrat Adam (A.S), the first man of the world.

Muslims understand through the themes in this passage that it is quite possible they mistake but there is more possibility that they are forgiven. However, in their daily lives if they do anything wrong they must turn to him immediately for forgiveness and recite this quranic dua of Hazrat Adam (A.S): "Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves and if you do not forgive us and have mercy upon us we will surely be among losers. " Sureh Al-Aaraf:23

Simply this passage instills the strength into the hearts of the Muslims that they are protected under God but they have to turn to him for salvation and peace in their lives.
